Broader impacts associated with higher education and professional development involve the training of students in fundamental chemical research surrounding coherence phenomena, including theory, spectroscopy, and synthesis as well as in innovation and entrepreneurship. The team will also develop advanced undergraduate and graduate course content that treats intersectional issues in quantum mechanics, including topics surrounding coherence, measurement techniques, quantum computing, quantum dynamics, and quantum sensing. The Center will focus strongly on broadening participation in science, technology, engineering and math, through a set of joint training, informal science education, and outreach activities, as well as activities specific to each of the four research sites.
